Lois “Zip” Ann Christensen, age 87, of North Mankato, formerly from Richfield and Winthrop, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017.  Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chico” Christensen; parents, Fred and Esther Miller; step-father, Herb Lieske; sister, Lucy Wiemann; son-in-law, Bob Mattes and great-granddaughter, Natalie.  She is survived by her children, Jeanne Mattes and Terry (Sharon) Christensen; grandchildren, Ixchel (Ivan) McGuire, Zachary Mattes, Stephanie (Michael) Johnson, Amie Christensen, Teri Siddall and Dustin (Lindsay) Christensen as well as 6 great-grandchildren.  Burial will take place at 11:35 AM on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
