Northview - North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56001 (507) 388-2202 Robert Albert Lotton, age 88, of Mankato, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., April 17, 2015, at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on April 16 and continues one hour prior to the service at Northview. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Robert was born August 22, 1926, in Mankato to Leslie and Martha (Schulte) Lotton. He attended school in Mankato. Robert was united in marriage to Thelma Showers on October 6, 1951, in Huron, S.D. He had been employed with various construction companies as a heavy bulldozer operator and later worked at Hubbard Milling for 23 years as a feed mill operator. Robert was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. He enjoyed farm tractors, playing harmonica, gardening and being outdoors, and especially time spent with his family. Robert is survived by his wife, Thelma of Mankato; two sons, Allen (Pam) Showers of Kasota and Leslie (special friend, Jeanne Ternes) Lotton of Mankato; one daughter, Sharon (Gary) Otto of Mankato; nine grandchildren, Robert, Tanya (Jon), Cheston, Kyli (Brian), Jesse (Mike), Dustin (Toni), Wade (Andrea), Nick, and Sarah, Todd (Betsy); eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Ora May Doyen; one sister-in-law, Naomi Lotton; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert; grandson, Rick; daughter-in-law, Laurie; brothers, Ralph and Roy; sisters, Loretta and Irene.
