Mankato Mortuary 1001 North Riverfront Drive Mankato, MN 56001 507-388-2202 Funeral services for Virginia Foster, age 66 of Mankato will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday March 30, 2015 at Hilltop Methodist Church in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church with a graveside service following the funeral at Glenwood Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary has been entrusted with final arrangements. A special thank you to the loving care provided to Virginia by the Minnesota Valley Health Care Center and to the staff at Mayo Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer cards. Virginia Marie Foster passed away on March 26, 2015. She was born to Merle and (La)Verna Rosenberg of Ceylon, MN on September 15, 1948. Virginia worked at Stokely-Van Camps in Fairmont until moving to Mankato in 1967. She was married to Donald Foster of Gloucester, MA on May 25, 1973 in Brookings, SD. Virginia worked many jobs in her years in Mankato including: Fingerhut, Midtex, Microtrak Systems, and Casey's General Store. She enjoyed doing word puzzles, embroidery, traveling and having lunch with friends. She is survived by her daughters Julie (Carl) Hughes of Janesville and Debra (Matthew) Benson of New Ulm; grandson Xavier Benson of New Ulm; brother, Larry (Pauline) Rosenberg of Cheyenne, WY; sisters, Julane (Elmer) Kutnink of Fairmont, Celeste (Tim) Ruble of Austin, and Dawn (Dave) Planting of Cottonwood; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and parents, Merle and (La)Verna.
