She graduated from Austin College in Sherman, TX with a Bachelor of Science in Education. On December 28, 1968, Marilyn was united in marriage to David Rosenau in Dallas, TX. Together they were blessed with two children, a son and a daughter. Marilyn enjoyed many years of being a mental health professional, in both a hospital and community setting. Most recently, she worked for the State of Minnesota as a Recreational Therapist. Over the years, Marilyn was very active in the community. She coached junior high basketball, MSU-Mankato tennis, and the Peppers softball. Marilyn was instrumental in the startup of the Mankato West Boosters Club. She enjoyed golfing, playing tennis, pickleball, slow pitch softball, and cards. Marilyn loved Arizona and spending winters there, teaching and playing pickleball and tennis. She truly cherished time with her family and friends. Marilyn was not one for fanfare, acknowledgements, or attention and once declined nomination to the Mankato Softball Hall of Fame. She was more about encouragement and found fault in only a few, and usually those few were basketball refs. She was elected to the Austin College Athletic Hall of Fame. Marilyn is survived by her husband, David of North Mankato; son, Karl (Jamie) of Moose Lake; daughter, Becky of San Francisco, CA; and granddaughters, Samantha and Kassidy of Moose Lake. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law; and 2 sisters-in-law.
