Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 (507) 388-2288 Maynard John Larson, age 93, of North Mankato, died Wednesday, February, 11, 2015 at Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, North Mankato with Rev. Gary Wong, officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato and will continue one hour before service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Maynard was born November 25, 1921 to Theodore and Freda (Roth) Larson in Lake Crystal. He attended school in Lake Crystal and graduated from Mankato High School. Maynard was united in marriage to Lila Mae Smith on July 31, 1949 at St. Paul's Lutheran Parsonage. He was employed at Kato Engineering for 43 years, retiring in 1982. After retirement, Maynard and Lila enjoyed traveling. His hobbies included gardening, wood working, and listening to music. Maynard is survived by his wife, Lila of Mankato; four children, Rosalyn (Ken) Polloway, Carmen (Curt) Hagge, Doug (Marilyn) Larson, and Becky (Bryan) Lamont; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many extended family. Maynard was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Raymond; brother, Burt Larson; and twin infant granddaughters.
