Richard "Rich" F. Johnson

Main Street Lake Crystal, MN 56055 (507) 726-6161 Richard "Rich" Frederick Johnson, age 75, of Lake Crystal died Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Madelia Community Hospital. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Lake Crystal Mortuary, with Rev. Debbie King Quale, officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service. Family Interment will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Richard was born on June 26, 1939 to Nels Frederick and Margaret (Larson) Johnson in Springfield, MN. He graduated from Mankato High School. Rich was united in marriage to Judith C. Morrell on October 15, 1960 at the Ev. United Bretheran Church in Waterville. He was employed for 50 years by Tri-Lake Lumber in Lake Crystal. Rich enjoyed playing baseball, watching football, camping, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Rich is survived by his wife, Judie of Lake Crystal; four children, Brent (Ann) Johnson, Brice Johnson, Karla Johnson, Connie (Corey) Van Raalte; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Alma (Al) Birr, Betty (Les) Pagel, and Marcella (George) Kueker; many nieces and nephews. Rich was preceded in death by his parents.
