A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 4 - 6pm at Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials are preferred to Twin Valley Council Boy Scouts of America or Girl Scouts River Valleys. Marilyn and Allen were united in marriage on August 10, 1963 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato. Marilyn was born August 2, 1939 to Herbert and Miriam (Herr) Dubke in Mankato. Allen was born July 31, 1938 to John and Doris (Tesch) Cole in Granite Falls, MN. Marilyn and Allen met while attending Mankato State College. Marilyn earned bachelor degrees in Home Economics and German, while Allen earned bachelor degree in Education. Allen honorably served his country in the Air Force, serving as a Liaison Officer at Hanscom Air Force Base. They performed various jobs until 1985, when they became owners and managers of The Valley Supper Club in Granite Falls, MN. Currently they were working at MRCI as Job Coaches. They enjoyed spending time up north, attending craft sales, crafting, and were both involved in the Boy Scouts. They loved getting together with friends every Friday night and spending time with family. Marilyn and Allen are survived by their children, Chris (Michelle Murray) Cole of Fridley and Tiffany (Kent) Hustad of Mankato; grandchildren, Nick Hustad of Rochester, Trevor Hustad of Mankato, Kacey Cole of New Prague, and Andy and Sam Cole of Mankato; former daughter-in-law, Nicole Cole; Allen's sister, Joan (Leo) Vaske of North Mankato; Marilyn's brother, Robert (Mardell) Dubke of Rochester; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn and Allen were preceded in death by their parents.
