Aaron "Putz" John Dumm

Olson Tichenor Funeral Home 307 Main Street Mapleton, MN 56065 507-524-3616 A graveside service for Aaron "Putz" Dumm, Jr., age 88, of Mapleton will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Union Cemetery in Mapleton with Pastor Vicki Hultine officiating. Visitation will follow the graveside service from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Olson Tichenor Funeral Home on Thursday evening. Aaron died October 6, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato. Aaron was born in Mankato to Aaron and Esther (Jaeger) Dumm November 14, 1925. He grew up on the family farm in Beauford Township, where he would eventually raise his own family. Aaron married Pearl Kluender in 1945. Together, the couple had two children, Brad and Karen. Through his example, he was able to teach them the value of a hard day's work. They moved to Mapleton in the late 80's and he continued his employment with Fron Implement and Hardware. Aaron loved to go golfing and curling with his friends. He was a handy man; being able to fix just about anything. Aaron is survived by his two children Brad (Sue) Dumm of Alexandria and Karen Tanner of Waterville; three grandchildren, Gabe (Amy) Dumm of Roseburg, OR, Adam Tanner of Bozeman, MT, and Jon (Jess) Dumm of Stockholm, Sweden; two great granddaughters, Skylar and Kia. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pearl; and grandson, Dennis Dumm; sister, Leota (George) Ehlers
