Brian Becker, age 43 of Good Thunder, died on April 15, 2014 as a result of injuries from a car accident.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2014 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Mapleton with Fr. Jason Kern officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2014 at Northview " North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Sterling Cemetery.

Brian was born on August 7, 1970 to Robert Becker and Sharon Manning in Mankato. Brian was united with marriage with Jennifer (Leiferman) on May 27, 2006. Brian served in the active army for 5 years; he then served in the Minnesota National Guard for 15 years, including a deployment to Afghanistan. Brian received a bachelor's degree, majoring in criminal justice and minoring in criminal psychology from MSU. Brian was an avid sports fan, specifically for the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed many other hobbies including fishing, hunting, camping, working on his chump car, and snowmobiling. Brian truly valued his family and enjoyed spending time with his family at all family events.

Brian is survived his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Brianna; son, George; mother, Sharon (Chuck) Manning; father, Robert; brother, Eric (Kristin) Becker and niece, Audrey; grandparents, Loretta Ward and Kenneth Becker; mother and father-in-law, Don and Jane Leiferman; grandparents-in-law, Nancy Rohrs and Cletus (Josephine) Leiferman and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brian is preceded in death by his grandfather, Manford (John) Ward; grandmother, Lucy Becker; and grandfather-in-law, Keith Rohrs.
