Evelyn S. Brauch, 102, of Good Thunder, died on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Mapleton Community Home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Paul Lauer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Good Thunder on her 103rd Birthday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m.

Evelyn Sophia Kramer Brauch was born on May 15, 1911 to Wilbert and Selma (Wojahn) Kramer in Lyra Township, Blue Earth County. She was raised and resided most of her life in Good Thunder. She married Edward Brauch in Norwood, IA on March 10, 1941, they later divorced. Evelyn worked for several different Mankato businesses doing bookkeeping and sales. She finished her working career at 100+ years at the Good Thunder Elementary School where she worked for 20 years.

Evelyn is survived by son, Ejay and daughter-in-law, JoAnn Brauch; grandson, Wayne Brauch; step-grandson, Michael Briggs; great-granddaughter, Abigail Brauch; nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rosella, Carl, Paul, Violet, Clayton and their spouses.
