Rosalin V. Thiesse, age 91, of North Mankato, died on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are preferred to Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Rosalin was born on July 25, 1922 in Lake Belt Township, Martin County to Herman and Rosa (Poppe) Hagen. She graduated from Ceylon High School and Mankato Teachers College. Rosalin taught in a rural school in Martin County for several years. On August 18, 1946, Rosalin was united in marriage to Sylvan Thiesse. She enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved gardening, hardanger, quilting, sewing, and cooking. Rosalin was very generous and welcoming, always taking care of others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Rosalin was very active in Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Rosalin is survived by her husband, Sylvan of North Mankato; children, Julaine Thiesse of Ringsted, IA, Steve Thiesse of Brookings, SD, and Kristen Thiesse Palm and her husband Rick of Minneapolis; grandson, Karl Palm of Minneapolis; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hagen, Arline Hagen, and Lola Hagen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Alinda, Amanda, Emma, and Elida; and brothers, Emil, Evald, Herbert, and Walter.
