Letitia R. "Bonnie" Campbell, age 94, of Lake Crystal, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at her home.

A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Lake Crystal with Rev. Scott Jennings, officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m., Sunday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery.

Bonnie was born February 9, 1920 to Wilfred Delmar and Sarah Marguerite (Corbett) Campbell in Minneapolis. She graduated from West High School in Minneapolis in 1938 and then attended and graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. Bonnie and her girlfriend traveled to California where they worked for two years for War Manpower Services in San Francisco. She returned to Minneapolis where she worked for Nevens Dry Cleaning in Minneapolis, American Radiator and Standard Sanitary and other secretarial-bookkeeping jobs. She was united in marriage to Donald R. Campbell on June 29, 1946 at the Lake Harriet Baptist Church in Minneapolis. After her marriage to Donald she moved to Lake Crystal and worked for attorney John Thomas in Lake Crystal and later the Johnson Law Firm. Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Crystal, where she was active with its Ladies Guild, spent time serving as a Deaconess, held various other offices and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was also very active with Grace Thrift Store in Lake Crystal and served on the board. She participated in her local Scrabble club and enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels. Bonnie enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, spending time with her family, baking, gardening, and mowing her lawn.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Donald D. (Susan) Campbell of Lake Crystal and Kay (Ken) Midthun of Gilbert, AZ; son-in-law, David Roder of St. Peter; five grandchildren, Kristen (Davey) Pauly, Joshua (Melissa) Campbell, Jeremiah (Lisa) Campbell, Stephanie Midthun, Peter (Christina) Midthun; seven great-grandchildren with an eighth expected in May, Colten Benedict, Evan Pauly, Grady and Bella Campbell, Grace and Noah Campbell, Emma Midthun; nephew, Michael Campbell; three sisters-in-law, Marcelyn (Ron) Pedersen of Lake Crystal, Minnie (Bob) Buyse of Sacramento, CA, and Marie Campbell of Eaton Rapids, MI; and many extended family and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald on February 20, 2004; daughter, Colleen Roder on March 23, 2014; her brother and sister-in-law, Lorne (Dorothy) Campbell.

Memorials may be given to LCWM Wrestling Fund or Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.
