Allen "Bud" Doss, age 92, of Mankato, died on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. John Kunz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Cancer Research, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, or the donor's choice.

Allen was born on September 30, 1921 in Waseca County to Ludwig and Elsie (Laase) Doss. He graduated from Pemberton High School in 1939. Allen was united in marriage to Lucille Glynn on April 5, 1945 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Allen and Lucille farmed until 1981 when they moved to Mankato. While on the farm, Allen worked for Witts Electric and Baer Well Drilling. He also drove bus for the Pemberton School district. He was on the United Fund Board for 20 years. Allen and Lucille loved to travel. They covered 48 states with New Ulm Travel and spent 10 winters in Tucson, AZ. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Allen is survived by his wife, Lucille of Mankato; son, Larry (Cheryle) Doss of Holmes City, MN; daughter, Deborah (Todd) Nelson of Elk River, MN; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
