Charles John Roozen, age 62, of rural Kasota, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church - Marysburg with Rev. Allen Paul Eilen, officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Marysburg Cemetery.

Charles was born November 26, 1950 to John R. and Kathleen M. (Laven) Roozen in Mankato. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1969 and later from South Central College with a degree in computer programming. He was united in marriage to Jean Melick and they were later divorced. Charles worked for various companies and most recently was self employed as a web designer for churches. Charles was a caring, loving father, talented musician in his younger days, full of life and laughter.

Charles is survived by his children, Sean Charles (Madeline) Roozen serving in the US Navy at Port Hueneme, CA, Charles John Roozen II of Kasota, Kelly (PJ) Spielman of Arlington, TX; two grandchildren, Skyla Fisher and Riley Spielman; father, John Roozen of rural Kasota; mother, Kathleen Roozen of Owatonna; twin sister, Cynthia (Don) Gosch of North Mankato; sister, Debra Woitas of Minnetonka; two step-sisters, Nancy (David) Gosewisch of Mankato and Kim (Scott) Umhoefer of North Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Charles was preceded in death by his nephew, Jonathon Woitas.
