Cal Schultz, 64, of Lake Crystal, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Nancy Dreier officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour prior to the church service.

Cal was born on November 3, 1948 in Redwood Falls, MN. Cal was the son of Clarence and Delores "Jean" (Nyberg) Schultz. Cal served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1971. He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Hutchens on August 17, 1973 in Lake Crystal. He worked as a supervisor at Associated Finishing in Mankato for 25 years. Cal enjoyed hunting, fishing, working, and camping. He loved going on vacations and spending time with his family.

Cal is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of Lake Crystal; two sons, Chad (special friend Shanna) and Jordy (special friend Melanie); grandchildren, Natasha, Khyler, and Colton; father, Clarence; three brothers, Larry (Lou), Jim (Joann), and Randy (Kris) all of Lake Crystal; sister, Ann (Al) Hagen of Mankato; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Michael; mother, Jean; granddaughter, Isabella; and niece, Lexi Hagen.
