Elsa R. Dietel, age 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, recently of Jordan, and formerly of Maple Grove and Brooklyn Center, died peacefully Saturday, March 9, 2013.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4201 Regent Ave. N, in Robbinsdale. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A light luncheon follows. Memorials preferred.

Elsa was born on July 11, 1930 in Stewart, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Minnie (nee Kiecker) and William Grunke. Elsa was a 1948 graduate of Hutchinson High School. She and husband Lenn were united in marriage on October 19, 1950 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She was a full-time homemaker and worked part-time in sales and design for A.C. Carlson.

Elsa in survived by daughter Wendy (husband Bob Friendshuh), son Reed (wife Gloria), daughter Jody, and son Eric (wife Leslie). She is also survived by grandson Robbie, granddaughters Heather Spinler, Beth (Sean Heusinkveld), Tara LaHaye, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, sister-in-law Lorraine Maschke, nieces, nephews and many precious friends.
