Robert W. Dalluge, age 87, lifetime resident of rural Good Thunder, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Mankato. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Good Thunder, with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr., officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Robert (Bob) Willis Dalluge the son of William and Lilly (Sonnabend) Dalluge, was born on January 4, 1926 in Rapidan Township near Good Thunder, Minnesota. He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder and confirmed in 1940. He graduated from high school in 1944 and later attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester. He graduated in 1958 at which time he received the Edith Graham Mayo Award for kindness to patients. He was head nurse and supervisor of Pediatrics at St. Mary's Hospital for 18 years. He returned to Good Thunder to help care for his parents and had a small Antique business.
Besides going to auctions he enjoyed gardening, baking and canning, which he shared with friends and family. He also enjoyed helping make quilt tops for missions. He will be remembered for his wonderful love and compassion for others.
Robert is survived by a niece, Judy (Tom) Golly of Winnebago; a nephew, Kenneth (Joan) Schonrock of St. Paul Park, MN; five grand nephews and nieces; 10 great grand nephews and nieces;
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Melva and Arnold Schonrock.
