Ann Lucille Meyer, age 88, of Red Wing and formerly of Mankato, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park in Red Wing.
Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at church and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery in rural Mankato. Memorials may be given to the Huntington's Disease Society of America or the American Cancer Society. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Ann was born April 2, 1925 to Arthur and Etta (Eakin) Roberts of Mankato, MN. She attended school in Mankato and graduated as an RN from Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. On December 6, 1947 she married Burton Meyer and together they moved to a farm in SW MN. In future years they farmed and owned several businesses in Tracy and Mankato, MN. Ann dedicated her life to her family. Her skills of baking, canning, sewing, and knitting were hobbies that brought her and her family great comfort and joy. Her love of helping other was reflected in her many years of nursing. Ann has been an active member of her church throughout her life.

Ann is survived by her four children, Ron (Nancy) Meyer, Gerald (Debra) Meyer, Avis (William) Boies, and Carol Ann Meyer; nine grandchildren, Michael (Amy) Meyer, Mark (Chelsie) Meyer, Daniel (Kelli) Meyer, Christopher (Amanda) Meyer, Kirklen (Kattie) Meyer, Adam (Abigail) Boies, Genevieve Boies, Caitlin (Kevin) Wolff, and Thomas (Megan) O'Dell; 13 great-grandchildren, Gracie, Noah, Frankie, Will, Louie, Elli, Noah, Olivia, Maxwell, Finley, Marias, Hunter, and Harper; and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Etta Roberts; husband, Burton K. Meyer; brother, John Dean Roberts; sister, Ruth Otto; and granddaughter, Ann O'Dell.
