Mary L. Mertz, age 54, of Mankato, died on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. at the Shakopee VFW.
Mary was born on March 6, 1959 in Minneapolis to John and Rose (O'Brien) Mertz. She enjoyed fishing and playing bingo. Mary loved every minute she got to spend with her best buddy and grandson, Nick.
Mary is survived by her son, Adam (Chelsea) Mahowald; grandson, Nick Mahowald; father, John Mertz; siblings, Peggy, Laurie, John, Kathy, and Bill; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose and life partner, Rich Button.
