Eldon Lee "Butch" Monroe, age 64, of North Mankato, died Saturday, February 15, 2014, at his home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2014, at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Following the service, a gathering will take place at Living Links, 1230 North River Drive.

Butch was born on September 14, 1949, in Mankato to Charles and Helen (Esponson) Monroe. He was dearly loved by his family and spent his childhood growing up in Lake Crystal. Butch resided at the T.K. Sexton Home in North Mankato where he was cared for by loving and devoted staff members. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and pontoon rides, vacations, going out to eat, and working at MRCI.

Butch is survived by many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
