Dr. Lee H. Hendrickson, age 88 of Mankato, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato, MN 56003, with Rev. Jim Dye, officiating with a luncheon to follow. A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and continue until the service. Private burial later. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Jared Allen's "Homes for Wounded Warriors", or the VFW of your choice.

Lee was born July 26, 1925 to Oscar and Annie (Hatley) Hendrickson of Hartland, MN. He graduated from New Richland High School, then enlisted in the Army National Guard 34th Infantry Division "RED BULLS" in June 1944. Lee heroically fought in Italy, and was honorably discharged in July 1946. On November 3, 1946 he married Annabell Holland. After graduating from Northwestern Chiropractic College in 1954, they moved to Mankato to start his new practice and raise their family. Lee loved watching Twins baseball, and the Vikings. He also enjoyed reading, WWII movies, documentaries, and spending time with his family and friends.

Lee is survived by his children, Jeff (Jan) Hendrickson, LeAnn Hendrickson, Greg Hendrickson, and Mona Hendrickson; grandchildren, Haley (Brian) Belongia, Jared (Alisha Harrison) Hendrickson, Jennifer (Corey) Severson, Brita (James Zimansky) Murra, Zac Murra, Luke Murra, Brandon Mulder, and Emmalea Mulder ; 8 great-grandchildren; and former spouse, Annabell Hendrickson.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Amos and Gordy.
