Eugene Feist, age 86, of Mankato, died on Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home.

A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Chapel (309 Bermuda Drive, off Stoltzman Road) with Fr. Thomas Mroczka, officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary with a 7:00 p.m. rosary. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Camp Ripley.

Eugene was born on July 22, 1927 in Zeeland, N.D. to Frank and Theresa (Schwengler) Feist. He served in the 5th Army Air Corp. Pacific Area during World War II. Eugene was united in marriage to Emma Hass on December 26, 1949 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. He worked for Northland Beverages.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Emma; children, Pauline Feist, Eugene Feist Jr., and Robert (Allison) Feist; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Kasmar Feist; four sisters, Margaret (Harold) Schlepp, Mary (Earl) Webster, Eliza (Robert) Marinack, and Theresa Harty. He was preceded in death by two sons; one granddaughter; four brothers; and one sister.
