Geraldine was born October 7, 1923 in Kintyre, ND to James and Florence White. She was one of seven children, and the last remaining sibling. She received a teaching degree while attending college in Ellendale, ND and taught in a country school for a short time. On January 23, 1943 she married Elmer H. Kuch in Aberdeen, SD. After they were united in marriage the couple owned and operated Elmer's Bakery first in Ellendale, ND, and then moved the business in 1950 to LaMoure, ND where they established an incredible reputation as to having the best bakery goods around! It's likely that every kid in LaMoure received a special treat at one time or another while visiting the bakery! They served that community until 1979, at which time they finally had to retire due to Elmer's poor health. Geraldine and her husband, Elmer had 4 children; Roger, Jeannine, Irvin, and Keith. Geraldine and Elmer moved to Mankato, MN in 1990, and remained there until her death. Geraldine was never shy boasting about her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. They were her pride and joy!
Geraldine is survived by her children, Jeannine, Irvin, and Keith; daughters-in-law, Mary A., Peggy, Mary L., and sons-in-law, Roger and Dale; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings; her husband, Elmer; son, Roger; and daughter-in-law, Lauri.
