Marion Grace Williams, age 90, of Mankato, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Autumn Grace in Mankato.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Patrick Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be given to Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Marion was born July 9, 1923 to David C. and Anna (Johnson) Williams in Lake Crystal. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1941. Marion was united in marriage to Robert R. Williams on July 14, 1943 in Lake Crystal. Marion worked for Automatic Electric, Piggly Wiggly, Mueller's, Christ the King Lutheran Church, and Feed Service before retiring. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mankato Moose Lodge, Mankato VFW and American Legion. Marion enjoyed gardening, flowers, watching the MN Twins and Vikings, camping, happy hour on the breezeway, spending time with her grandchildren, playing accordion, and making cookies for her great-grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her two children, David (Ilene) Williams and Cindee (Jon) Wachtel, all of Mankato; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; 21 step great-great-grandchildren; step-brother, Clarence "Red" Herbst of Lake Crystal; brother-in-law, Loren Williams of Sauk Centre; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert on June 25, 2008; three sisters, Enid, Esther, and Ione; three brothers, Duane and Hayden Williams, Charles Herbst.
