Charles "Chuck" Lundgren, Jr., age 82, of Mankato, died on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Oak Terrace in Gaylord.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery in Judson.
Charles was born on April 9, 1932 in LeRay Township to Charles Sr. and Alice (Kleimann) Lundgren. Chuck served in the United States Army from October 1952-1954 during the Korean War. Chuck had two great marriages, 26 years with Grace Johnson and after her death, 26 years with Carol (Claeys) Nelson. He was a farmer by St. Clair, helped set up grain bins, and was a truck driver until his retirement. Chuck was a member of American Legion Post #11. He spent many summers in Canada fishing. He loved flying and had his pilot's license and also enjoyed riding motorcycle. Chuck was a jack of all trades, he spent lots of time in the garage and could fix anything. He enjoyed playing cards, especially pfeffer with family and friends.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Grace; 2nd wife, Carol; son, Howard Lundgren; brother, Gus Lundgren; and sister, Della Halter.
