Lorraine Louise (Spotts) Erickson, age 82 of Mankato, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Laurel's Peak in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary with Pastor John Petersen officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Health System " Mankato Hospice and the donor's choice.

Lorraine Louise (Spotts) Erickson was born February 26, 1932 in Mankato. She was a 1950 graduate of Mankato High School. She married Duane Erickson of Mankato on September 30, 1950. Lorraine worked at Kresgees prior to the birth of children Julie and Steven. She later worked at Sears and then at West High School in the computer lab. She and her husband retired to Ft. Meyers FL in 2000 and returned to Mankato in February 2013. Lorraine was an avid reader of mystery novels, loved doing crossword puzzles and traveling.

She is survived by her husband Duane, son Steven and his wife Teri and grandchildren Stacy and Kyle of Pennsylvania, son-in-law Rick Miller, brother Gary and wife Doris Spotts of Lake Crystal and sister Sandy and husband Patrick Gemlo of Mankato and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Marcella (Miller) Spotts and her daughter Julie Erickson Miller in 1977.
