Alex D. Keller, age 25 of Mankato, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at his home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20, 2014 at St. John's Episcopal Church. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Alex was born on March 30, 1989 to David and Lynn (Duncanson) Keller in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato West High School in 2007, and went on to earn his certification in Holistic Nutrition, and spent a brief time in Hawaii organic farming. Alex worked for the City of Mankato landscaping the city parks, and also the winter months worked at Mount Kato. Recently, Alex began working at CHS in Mankato. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Alex loved sports, especially rock climbing, football, kayaking, and snowboarding. He enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching movies, traveling and spending time with family. Alex was an avid Vikings fan and animal lover.
Alex is survived by his parents, David and Lynn Keller of Mankato; sisters, Leah and Mackenzie Keller of Mankato; maternal grandparents, Don and Olivia Duncanson of North Mankato; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Alex was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cliff and Gladys Keller.
