Alexander Ahl, age 21 of Mankato, passed away at his home on August 8, 2014.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 4-8 p.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary.

Alex was born on September 4, 1992 in Mankato to Barry and Patti Ahl. He attended Mankato East High School where he was involved in many school activities including; football, Cougar's Broadcasting, yearbook staff, hockey stats, and various others. He graduated from Mankato East in 2011. Alex was also a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Alex was an avid sports fan, loving all Minnesota sports teams including: the Vikings, Twins, Mavericks, Gophers, and all others. Alex was a "dog person', loving his own dogs, Bandit, Xena, and Angel; but also, he later rescued and brought home two other dogs, Max and Rascal. Alex always had such a positive, uplifting attitude about life. He was always bringing a smile or laugh to those around him. He had a huge heart, allowing him to stand up for people and always give a helping hand to anyone and everyone.

Alex is survived by his parents, Barry and Patti; siblings, Brandon (Kristen) Brustad, Christopher (Anne) Ahl, Lindsay Ahl; nieces and nephews, Caden, Leah, and Aubrey Brustad; grandparents, Jeanette Ahl, Duane Ahl, and George Brustad.

Alex was welcomed into Heaven by his grandmother, Nathalie (Becky) Brustad.
