Alice I. (Schwarz) Spotts, age 75, of Mankato, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Autumn Grace Senior Living after a courageous battle against dementia and cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Jacek Soroka officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.

Alice was born November 23, 1938 to Arthur and Ella (Klinder) Schwarz in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Kenneth H. Spotts on December 19, 1959. Alice worked for Aramark Food Services " MSU for 25 years. She enjoyed socializing, camping, bowling, karaoke, and 14 years of Texas living.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Kenny Spotts; son, Kent (Kathy) Spotts; daughter, Kelli (Alan) Thielges; grandchildren, Tyler, Alissa, Aimee, and Ashlee; sisters, Florence (Bill) Braun, Beverly (Pat) Muldoon, Violet (Al) Gilster, and LaJune (John) Schmidt; sisters-in-law, LouAnne Schwarz, Dona Lexvold, LeeAnn (Leon) DeWitte, and Carol (Rex) Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother and his wife, LuVerne (Yvonne) Schwarz; brother, Clifford Schwarz; and sister-in-law and her husband, Pati (Harry) Hoehn.
