Ilene N. (Norway) Williams, age 71 of Mankato, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Patrick Patterson officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the service. Memorials are preferred to the Children's Museum of Southern MN in Mankato.

Ilene was born March 29, 1943 to William and Constance (Keenan) Norway in East Bridgewater, MA. She was united in marriage to David R. Williams on July 26, 1986 in Lake Crystal, MN. Ilene was a Registered Nurses Aide for several years, having worked at Logan Nursing Home in Marshfield, MA, the Lake Crystal Nursing Home, and New Ulm Union Hospital. She also was a daycare provider for 6 years until her retirement. Ilene was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, gardening, camping and loved spending time with her family.

Ilene is survived by her husband, David Williams of Mankato; children, Linda (Tom) Gehrke of Mankato, Richard Deree of North Mankato, Joyce (Darrin) Nelson of Mankato, and Amy (Jeff) Cichosz of Arizona; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Mayland Norway and Roger (Alice) Norway; sisters, Dianne Bouquet and Darleen (Michael) Corey; sister-in-law, Cindee (John) Wachtel; and many nieces and nephews.

Ilene was preceded in death by her mother, Constance (Kenneth) MacKinnon; father, William Norway; brother, Dennis Norway; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marion and Robert Williams.
