LaVerne Sundborg, age 96, of Mankato, died on June 17, 2014 at Pathstone Living in Mankato. LaVerne was born on November 12, 1917 in Mountain View, California; though she lived most of her life in Fresno, California.

LaVerne worked as a secretary for the State of California for more than 30 years. She moved to Mankato in 2003. LaVerne is survived by her son, Ron Sundborg; granddaughters, Paige Swanson (Rob) of Mankato, Lainey Sundborg of Minneapolis, Nickeyer Collymore of St. Lucia; great granddaughter, Quinn Swanson and great grandson Cooper Swanson. LaVerne was preceded in death by her son, Robert.

While LaVerne enjoyed playing bingo and cards, her most cherished hobby was spoiling her great grandchildren.
