Gerald A. Fritz, lovingly known as "Fritzie", age 73 of Mankato, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.
At his request, private burial will be held in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Memorials are preferred to the Eagles " Aerie 269. Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.

Gerald Allen Fritz was born November 3, 1940 to George and Coletta (Exner) Fritz in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato West High School and went on to honorably serve his country. Gerald fought in the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1969 in the U.S. Army. He was proud to be a member of the American Legion Post 11, VFW Post 950, and Eagles " Aerie 269.

Gerald is survived by his sister, Beverly (George) Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; and sister.
