Delbert Neegaard, age 72 of Lake Crystal, passed away on June 12, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., June 17, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal with Pastor Andrea Myers officiating. A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service at the church. Burial will be at Jerusalem Cemetery.

Delbert was born on May 13, 1942 to Edward and Clara (Becker-Zellmer) Neegaard in Amboy, MN. He was united in marriage to Sharon (Furst) in Estherville, Iowa, on August 17, 1967. Delbert spent his time working in his shop, listening to old time polka music, vegetable gardening, fishing, enjoying time at the family cabin up North, and above all else, loved being with his grandchildren.

Delbert is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Paula (Mark) Weber; grandchildren, Michael and Rebecca Weber; sisters, Doris (Dick) Jans, Lois Oachs, Nelda Rutjes, and Ileen (Dennis) Bonneson; brothers, David Neegaard, Donald (Debbie) Neegaard, and Duane Neegaard; and nieces, nephews, and friends.

Delbert is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Victor Neegaard.
