Sandra Bohnenblust, age 63, died on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Mankato surrounded by her family. She died of complications from lymphoma.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to MSU Athletics, The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice.
Sandy was born on October 16, 1950 in Anderson, IN to Jack and Mary Karel (Hopkins) Priddy. She graduated from Shenandoah High School in Indiana. Sandy graduated from Ball State University in Indiana with a degree in Elementary Education, and she earned her master's degree in Special Education from MSU. On December 4, 1971 Sandy was united in marriage to Stephen Bohnenblust in Anderson, IN. She was employed by, and retired from, Minnesota Valley Education District (MVED) as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. Sandy was an avid Red Wing pottery collector and she enjoyed reading. She especially enjoyed family vacations at Lake Vermilion.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Steve Jr., Mandy (Charlie Bauer), and Sam (Stephen Jerde); and brother, Pete Priddy. She was preceded in death by her parents.
