Longtime Madison Lake businessman, John C. "Jack" Hoehn, age 78 of Madison Lake, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 10, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4 " 8 p.m. Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to All Saints Endowment Fund, Hospice of the Valley (PO Box 3746 Mankato, MN 56001), or the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
John Charles Hoehn was born January 19, 1935 in Mankato to Louis and Mary (Blaha) Hoehn. Jack graduated from Loyola High School in 1953. He served his country in the US Army. Jack was united in marriage to Delores Tarpy on June 22, 1957 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. For over 50 year's Jack owned and operated Jack's Trustworthy Hardware in Madison Lake. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, sang in the church choir in the past, and was a member of the endowment fund. Jack was a member of the Madison Lake Fire Department and served on the EDA for Madison Lake.
He enjoyed restoring cars, golf, lake activities, boating and snowmobiling.
Jack is survived by his wife, Delores of Madison Lake; three children, Kent (Denise) Hoehn of Madison Lake, Stacy Hoehn of Star Prairie, WI, Troy (Tanya) Hoehn of St. Clair; eight grandchildren, Ryan (Shanna) Hoehn, Clayton (Emily) Hoehn, Ashley Hoehn and friend, Brent Oachs, Justina Bisch and friend, Antawan Walker, Bobby Shemon, Jamie Bisch and friend, Tarrah Sweet, Brenden Hoehn, and Kyle Hoehn; five great-grandchildren, Brooke, Mahleya, Brayden, Carter, and baby in August; two brothers, Richard (Alice) Hoehn of Madison Lake, Alfred Hoehn of Faribault.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Don and Kenneth; sister, Delores Fox; godchild Cheryl Lundgren.
