Patricia Joan Foty, age 79, of Mankato, died Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Hillcrest Health Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. Mariano Valera, IVE officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Excelsior. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Birthright of Mankato. Mankato Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Pat was born on March 19, 1934, in St. Paul. She was the daughter of Edlore and Katherine (Leuer) Caplette of Little Canada. She graduated from the 8th grade at St. John's School and also attended school in White Bear Lake. Pat was united in marriage to Eugene Foty on May 14, 1960, at St. John's Church in Little Canada. They lived in the Twin Cities for a short time before moving to Mankato in the early 1960's, where they would reside for the remaining 50 years of their time together. They raised two children, Camelia and Anthony. Pat enjoyed helping Eugene with his printing business. Pat loved to watch her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed flower gardening, collecting, and pets, especially dogs and cats.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Camelia "Cammy" (John) Kahnke of Janesville; son, Anthony "Tony" (Vickie) Foty of Mapleton; grandchildren, Zachary Foty, Alexander (fianc", Mariah) Foty, Jonathan Foty, Marie (Patrick) Hicks, Matthew (fianc", Karen) Kahnke, Susanna Kahnke, and Grace Kahnke; great-grandchildren, MiKinley and Adalyn; sister, Delores Corbo and nephew, Ted Corbo, both of Roseville; also two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene in 2011; brother-in-law, Nick Corbo; and many of Eugene's brothers and sisters, their spouses and children.
