Anthony Paul "Tony" Lyons, 50, of Mankato, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at church. Lunch following the service at Morson-Ario VFW Post 9713 on Riverfront Drive in Mankato.

Tony was born on September 1, 1963 in Mankato, MN. He grew up in the Mankato Area and went to school at Mankato West. He was married to Tracy Anderson on Sept 17, 1988 in Mankato; together they had one daughter, Tasha Maria. They lived in Mankato, where Tony owned his business T & T Painting and Handyman Services. He learned his painting skills from his father, Gump Lyons as a young man. He had many loves, besides his wife and daughter which included hunting, golfing, and fishing. His passion was helping everyone and anyone who needs help. You could always count on him. He loved being with his family and friends. You would always expect a good time when Tony was around.

Tony is survived by his wife, Tracy; daughter, Tasha (fianc", Tanner Mace); sisters, Gail (James) Carr, Peggy (Denny) Toyryla, Vickie (Peter) Kruize, Colleen (John) Convey, Barbara (George Motto) Lyons, Brenda (Tom) Tenenbaum, Bridget (Steve) Swanson; many nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin "Gump" Lyons; mother, Rea Mae Lyons; sister, June Ann Thorson and her husband, Peter; and their sons, Royce and Reagan in 1977; and many aunts and uncles.
