Lois A. Larson, age 81 of North Mankato, died peacefully Monday, May 20, 2013 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2013 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary in North Mankato. Burial will be in Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville, MN. Visitation will be from 4 " 7 p.m., Thursday at Northview North Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service on Friday.

Lois was born February 27, 1932 to Walter and Anna (Sorgatz) Preuss in Waterville, Minnesota. She graduated from Waterville High School and Mankato Business School. Lois was employed by the Hubbard Company of Mankato and worked 35 years for Mankato Citizens Telephone Company before retiring in 1999. She enjoyed yard work, knitting, summers at Spirit Lake and most of all spending time with her family.

Lois is survived by her four children, Linda "Josie" (Russ) Wanka of White Bear Lake, MN, Ted Larson of North Mankato, Peggy Larson of North Mankato, Patty Larson and Tim Raveling of Coon Rapids, MN; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille "Ceil" (Mike) Alm of Perham, MN; sister-in-law, Faye Preuss of Fairmont, MN; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Laurie in 1964; one brother, Norman; sister, Leona "Onie" Scheffert.
