Alice E. Hodapp, age 92, of Waseca and formerly of Mankato died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair with Reverend Marty Schaefer officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in St. Clair. Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
Alice Emma was born April 3, 1921 to William and Julia (Hoehn) Grams in McPherson Township, Minnesota.
On June 7, 1939 Alice was united in marriage to Edmund Hodapp at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. This union was blessed with 5 children: Rita, Barbara, Greg, Philip and James.
Alice was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a former member of the Catholic Women's Group. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and needlework.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Rita (Bernard) Akemann, Greg Hodapp, and Philip (Marlys Kuch) Hodapp; grandchildren: Brian Hodapp, Bradley Hodapp, Rob Wiste, Tony Akemann, Anne Baker, Andy Akemann and Aric Akemann; great-grandchildren: Carly, Holly, Nick, Samantha, Paige, Brady, Amber, Ashley, Sierra, Shayna, Cheyenne, Daniel, Cody, Tyler and Alexis; sister, Marion Hinton; brother, Robert Grams; other extended family and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund on November 5, 1983; son, James Hodapp; daughter, Barbara Meland; grandson, Keith Wiste; parents, William and Julia Grams; brothers: William Grams, Walter Grams, Carl Grams and infant brother, John Grams; and sisters: Laura Myers, Gertrude Goodrich and Eva Hodapp.
