Mary Susan Vose, age 86, of Mankato, MN, died peacefully on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System " Mankato. No services are planned as per Mary's wishes. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in White Bear Lake, MN. Arrangements were handled by Northview " North Mankato Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Mary was born on January 8, 1927, in Owatonna, MN. She was the daughter of Gordon and Alice (Anderson) Kilborn. Mary was a graduate of Rochester High School in Rochester, MN. She was united in marriage to James A. Vose on April 30, 1949, in Rochester. Mary was a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Above all, her family was most important to her. Mary was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mary is survived by her three children, James (Amy) Vose of Edina, MN, Nancy (Robert) Burger of Brookfield, WI, and Doug (Ann) Vose of North Mankato, MN; seven grandchildren, Tom (Abbie) Vose, Rob Vose, Andy (Kate) Thieman, Dan (Christen) Thieman, Doug (Laura) Vose Jr., Betsy Vose, and Greg Vose; four great-grandchildren; and also many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; sister, Marcia and brother, Gordon.
