Mary Helen Lorentz, age 79 of Mankato, died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service at the mortuary.

Mary Helen was born May 21, 1933 to Gustave and Helen (Tighe) Kuehn in Mankato. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy. On November 4, 1952 Mary was united in marriage to Eugene Lorentz in Mankato. They were blessed with three children. Mary was an office manager for Minnesota South Central Senior Federation for many years before retiring in 2005. She loved to play bingo, cards and the bells in the music program at Oaklawn. Mary was so glad she was able to participate in the music program and have her family come to enjoy as well.

Mary is survived by her three daughters: Julie Lorentz of Eagle Lake, Chris (Jeffrey) Brand of Lake Crystal, and Carol (Tony) Landowski of Mankato; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded death by her husband and her grandson, Dustin C. Brand.
