Glatha Hazel Stokesbary, age 91, of Mankato and formerly of Lake Crystal, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, with Rev. Debbie King Quale officiating. Interment will be in Garden City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Saturday. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal.

Glatha was born on September 21, 1921, in rural Garden City. She was the daughter of Earl and Edna (Eagar) Diesch. Glatha was a 1939 graduate of Garden City High School. She was united in marriage to Everett Stokesbary on February 15, 1940, in Garner, IA. Glatha was a homemaker and assisted Everett with their farm. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal, where she taught Sunday School and participated in the Ladies' Aid. Glatha also was a member of the Eastern Star and the Birthday Club. She enjoyed needlework, gardening, and travelling, especially the winters she and Everett spent in Arizona.

Glatha is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Everett Stokesbary of Mankato; two sons, Stan (Jo) Stokesbary of rural North Mankato and James (Chris) Stokesbary of Lake Crystal; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Floyd; brothers, Dean and Jerald; sister, Eleanor; grandson, Brian Stanley Stokesbary; and parents-in-law, Elvin and Cora Stokesbary.
