Constance Priscilla West, age 80, went home to be with her Lord on April 8, 2013 at the Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato.

A Memorial Service for Conne will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, corner of 6th Ave and Lind St, Mankato. Private family burial will be in Garden City Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Grace Baptist Church Missions.

Mankato Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.

Conne was born February 23, 1933 in Quincy, Massachusetts to Robert and Constance (Silva) Sutton. She lived in Quincy with her parents and brother, Robert, until she met her husband Garth while he was stationed with the Army in Boston, MA. They were married March 18, 1955 and were soon expecting their first son who was born while Garth was deployed for a year to Thule, Greenland. The couple settled in New Jersey where two additional sons were born until the family moved to Garths native state of Minnesota in 1967. The family settled in Garden City. Conne worked as a secretary for the Wellcome Memorial School and later the Wellcome Memorial " Lake Crystal School district until her retirement.

Conne and Garths lives revolved around their church home, Grace Baptist Church in Mankato, where they practiced their vibrant faith. Conne served as a Deaconess, taught Sunday School, sang solos, sang in various small groups and in the choir, including frequent appearances on the churchs television program "I Believe in Miracles." She was known for her kindness, hospitality, and funny Boston accent.

Conne is survived by her husband, Garth C. West of Garden City; son, Dr. Garth S. West (married to Jane Tebussek) of Rochester, MN; son, Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel) Bradley A. West (married to Susan Hooge) of White Sands Missile Range, NM; and Rev. Timothy M. West (married to Elizabeth Ryan) of Bloomfield, CT; five grandchildren, Alexander West of Bend OR, Allison Gahlon of Burnsville MN, Natalie Ellender of NAS LeMoore, CA; Emily West of Rochester MN, and Lauren West of Rochester MN; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joyce Sutton of Cape Cod, MA; several nieces and nephews.

Conne was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert.

Conne will be remembered for her love for her family and her deep faith expressed in her love for her Savior and other people.
