Ronald B. Queen, age 89, of Lake Crystal, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at Ecumen Prairie Lodge, Brooklyn Center.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, April 19 at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Saturday. Private Family burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church.

Ronald was born September 27, 1923 to Walter & Xenia (Babcock) Queen in Mankato, MN.

He was united in marriage to Georgene V. Ballard on March 10, 1943. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.

Ronald was employed by the Federal Government as an Inspector for most of his career. After retiring from the Government, he worked for Magnavox for several years. Early on, he worked at Truth Tool in Mankato & the Ballard Garage in Lake Crystal. He had been a volunteer firefighter for the city of Lake Crystal. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School and Mankato Commercial College.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 294 and Bethel Lodge 103. Ronald and Georgene wintered in Pharr, Texas for many years.

Ronald enjoyed travelling, camping, snowmobiling, boating, hunting in Montana, and fixing/repairing old cars.

Ronald is survived by two daughters, Connie (John) Davis of Nevis, MN and Patricia Queen Jordheim of Grand Forks, ND; five grandchildren, Kara (Aaron) Mullen of Cottage Grove, Blake (Amy) Davis of St. Paul, Jill (Jared) Whitehouse of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Jared (Brianna) Jordheim of Omaha, NE, and Joy Jordheim of Denver, CO; eight great-grandchildren, Khrystiyan, Kyleigh, and Gunnar Mullen, Cedar and Ivy Davis, Ava Whitehouse, Noelle and Nora Jordheim; sisters Lura Biehl of Lancaster, TX; Roberta Offenbeck of Shawno, WI; brothers, Wayne of Kirbyville, MO; Gordon of Appleton, WI; sister-in-law, Berneita Bill of Lake Crystal; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons; wife, Georgene on September 17, 2012; sister, Ardis Morrill; sister-in-law, Violet Queen; and brothers-in-laws, Don Biehl, Joe Leifermann, Burt Morrill, and Ray Offenbeck.
