Arleen Mary Barnes, age 83, of Lake Washington, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at her home.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 5, 2013, at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Monday.

Arleen was born June 1, 1930 to Charles William and Agnes Elizabeth (Thomas) Sheehan in Mankato. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1948. Arleen was united in marriage to Duane J. Barnes on December 17, 1949 in Hawaii.

Arleen is survived by her husband, Duane; three daughters, Luann (Bob) Amundson of Reynoldsburg, OH, Linda (John) Friederichs of Lake Granbury, TX; Laurie (Marty) Ferguson of Clearwater Lake, MN; four grandchildren, David Amundson of Reynoldsburg, OH, Andy (Kate) Friederichs of Ft. Worth, TX, Mitch McGuire of Minneapolis, and Erica Ferguson of Mankato; two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Penelope Friederichs of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, Jerome "Red" (Peggy) Sheehan of Mankato; many nieces and nephews.

Arleen was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amy Friederichs; three sisters; four brothers; and her parents.
