Ernest A. Wolfe, age 91, of Mankato, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Rev. John Kunz officiating. A visitation will be from 4-7pm on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials may be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or an organization of the donor's choice.

Ernest Anton Wolfe was born November 18, 1921 to Joseph and Anna (Shamp) Wolfe in Blue Earth County, Minnesota. On May 17, 1951, Ernest was united in marriage to Audrey Miller at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. He was a Chief Engineer at Good Counsel for the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Ernest was an active member and usher at St. John the Baptist, as well as the Kiwanis. He enjoyed reading and watching Fox News.

Ernest is survived by his son, Michael (LuAnn); daughter, Susan (Roland) Maas; two granddaughters, Rebecca and Kimberly Maas; two sisters, Josephine (Cletus) Leiferman and Rosemary Burnett; sister-in-law, Charlotte Miller and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey in 2002; son, Stephen; parents; brother, Herbert; sister, Mary Helen Burg; and brother-in-law, Wilmer Burnett.
