Betty J. Schroeder, age 64, of Mankato, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 28 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf with Rev. Michael Mathews officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Waldorf.

Betty was born on March 4, 1949 in Waseca to Donald and Edna (Davis) Schroeder. Betty worked at MRCI just shy of 40 years and loved her job. She enjoyed summer camp, biking, walking, traveling, and having coffee with her friends. She loved having pie at Baker's Square. Betty participated in the Special Olympics, the EASE Program, and LEEP.

Betty is survived by her mother, Edna; siblings, Donna (Thomas) Traynor, Dennis (Diane) Schroeder, Arlie (Marcia) Schroeder, Don Schroeder, Dan (Nancy) Schroeder, and Jodi Beers; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father and brother-in-law, Larry Beers.
