Victor Tom Chalhoub, age 78, of Mankato passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2013 at Pathstone Memory Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mankato with Father Tim Biren, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at the church on Saturday.

Vic was born on June 6, 1935 in Furzul, Lebanon. He was the son of Tom and Najbie (Ramy) Chalhoub. He immigrated to the United States in 1952 and became a U.S. citizen in 1955. He married Donna Deitering on October 15, 1960 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and they made their home in Mankato until his death. Vic worked at Continental Can for 15 years and in 1970 went to Barber School and opened his own shop where he barbered 32 years.

Vic is survived by his wife, Donna; sister, Audit Ramy of Furzul, Lebanon; nephew, Tony (Kathy) Chalhoub and their daughter, Melanie; niece and Donna's lifeline, Najwa (John) Massad and their daughters, Meray and Karla.

Vic was preceded in death by his mother and father; three sisters; three brothers; and many nieces and nephews in Lebanon and Syria.

Memorials will go to the Newman Center, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and a family church in Lebanon.
