Cynthia J. Smith, age 48 of Mapleton, died Monday, January 14, 2013 in Mankato.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Mankato Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Cynthia Jo was born January 28, 1964 to Richard and Gladys (Groehler) Jaeger in Gaylord. Cynthia was baptized February 23, 1964. The family lived in Brooklyn Park through Cynthia's younger years. They moved to Winthrop during her teen years. Cynthia was confirmed in 1979 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord. She lived most of her adult life in South Carolina until three years ago when she moved to the Mankato area. Cynthia is a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Clair. She loved animals, gardening, cooking, and motorcycles, but the best times of her life were when surrounded by family.
Cynthia is survived by her daughter: Alysyn AnnieJo Nicole Jaeger Morris and her special friend, Ben Conrad of Minneapolis; four siblings: Mark (Annette) Jaeger of Gibbon, Christine (Kevin) Doering of Mapleton, Michael (Peggy) Jaeger of Champlin, and Connie (Jeff) Majeski of Winthrop; two uncles: Bill (Mavis) Abraham of Glencoe and Henry Jaeger of Bird Island; two aunts: Lois Jaeger of Atwater and Julie Jaeger of Marshall; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Gladys; and grandparents: Arnold and Florence Abraham and David and Sophie Jaeger.
