William Frank Paul Steinberg, age 84 of Mankato, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Immanuel " St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Jack Dahl officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to Our Saviors Lutheran Church or the Stain Glass Fund, Hospice or the donors choice. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Bill Steinberg was born September 28, 1921 to William and Vera (Malzahn) in Good Thunder, Minnesota. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Bill was united in marriage to Doris Evans on December 31, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. He worked in car sales at Dalton Motors, Lagers, and Heintz Auto. Bill was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and American Legion Post #11. He enjoyed, lawn mowing, car sales, watching football and baseball.
Bill is survived by his wife, Doris of Mankato; three children, Rita (Mark) Kump of Mankato, James (Lisa) Steinberg of St. Marys, OH, Steve (Sue) Steinberg of Marshall, MN; six grandchildren, Tracy (Peter) Scott, Travis Kump, Christopher and Andrea Steinberg, Nicholas and Allisyn Steinberg; two great- grandchildren, Lily and Carter Steinberg; one sister, Darlene Born of Whitter, CA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
